How to Create Shapes

Candle

Cylinder
  1.  To create a cylinder click Create in the Main Menu Bar. Under NURBS Primitives select the box next to cylinder.
  2. Click on the Reset Tool Icon in the option box. Click Axis: Free Single-click settings box and in Axis definition: will be set to 0,1,0, for the cylinder to appear on the 
  3. Scale the cylinder to X:1, Y:1, Z:
Curves
  1. To create a curve on the sides of the cylinder go up to the Status Bar Line and in the Selection Mode tab change to the Component Type which is the four boxes with arrow.
  2. View the object in Front mode. Drag the marquee around the cylinder and select only half the of the components to the center left but don't select the two components in the center of the object.
  3. Once the it is selected in the Channel Box Editor to the right click the nurbsCylinderShape1 CVs (click to show). Click on the X and put -0.2 and enter (this makes the curve only on the x axis point on the components selected).
  4. Do the same as step 2 and 3 but on the center right.
Spheres
  1. Change the Selection Mode back to the object type.
  2. Main Menu Bar > Create > NURBS Primitives Sphere
  3. In the Tool Settings under the Create Settings, change the End sweep angle to 180, click on the grid for the sphere to appear.
  4. Channel Box Editor change the Translate Y: 2, Rotate X: -90, Scale X & Y: 1 and Z: 0.174.
  5. Create another sphere follow steps 1, 2, & 3 but don't change the End Sweep angle.
  6. Channel Box Editor change the Translate Y: 2.6, Scale X & Z: 0.2 and Y: 0.5
Color
  1. Drag the Marquee around the whole object > Status Bar Line and to the right in the Show/Hide editor icons > Attribute Editor icon.
  2. Lamber 1 tab at the end using the arrows > Under Common Material Attributes click on the box next to Color.
  3. The Color History box appears > in the Circle full of color drag the line between the color blue/purple to red/pink > in the color box in the middle of the circle put the white box it the middle of the color box > change the 3 boxes to the bottom left to  R: 0.555, G: 0.264 B: 0.487.
Fire
  1. Select the small sphere on top of the cylinder > Shelf, Rendering > Click on the Sphere with many colors but with more green it is a Ramp Material.
  2. Channel Box Editor > Under Shapes, particleSphere1 change Goal smoothness:3, Particle Render Type: Cloud (s/w), Fire Speed: 55, Fire Turbulence: 240, Fire Density: 10, Fire Intensity: 0.35.
  3. Status Line show the Attribute editor icon > rampShader > Under Color and select the Selected Color box next to it > Color History box appears, in the Circle full of colors move the line between orange and red, and in the box move the white box to the bottom right corner in the box color > In the bottom left corner change the 3 boxes R: 1.000, G: 0.287, B: 0.096.
  4. Once everything is change exit the Attribute Editor
You have now created a candle and to save it go up to the Main Menu Bar > File > Save Scene As > Name file as Candle.

    I think your instructions are absolutely excellent. It takes you step by step on each shape and explains in detail how to make the object. Each part of the object is described and their shapes can be easily duplicated. I think i can remake this object fairly easy without any problems.
